Latavius Murray Starts, Rotates With Lead Back
one year ago

Running back Latavius Murray surprisingly saw his largest workload of the season as the Buffalo Bills squeaked by the New York Giants 14-9 in Week 6. Murray drew the start Sunday night and played the majority of the first quarter's snaps, which was an unwelcome sight for James Cook's fantasy managers. Murray managed 45 yards on 12 carries while splitting snaps evenly with his more dynamic counterpart. Damien Harris' (neck) early departure certainly opened up more playing time for the 33-year-old, but Murray was playing a significant part before his fellow power back exited. The Bills seem to trust the NFL's oldest active RB in two-minute drills and red-zone situations, so Murray may be settling into a considerable role in one of the league's best offenses. He's not the flashiest name, but Murray is worth a look on waiver wires for RB desperados ahead of next Sunday's affair with the New England Patriots.
