Landon Dickerson To Undergo Thumb Surgery

Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Landon Dickerson (thumb) is set to undergo thumb surgery that will hold him out of the Week 16 contest against the New York Giants. According to Tim McManus of ESPN, he will definitely miss that game, but then he'll be evaluated heading into Week 17. The 25-year-old guard earned a Pro Bowl nod last season and with fellow guard Cam Jurgens (pec) also dealing with a pectoral injury, this is a worrisome development late in the season. It doesn't sound like Dickerson's injury will hold him out long-term, but setbacks can and do happen.
