Kyren Williams Returning To Lead-Back Duties
12 months ago

Los Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams (ankle) was officially activated from Injured Reserve on Saturday and will be active in Week 12 against the Arizona Cardinals, where he will serve as the team's lead back. However, the Rams want to be careful about not overworking him in his first game since he injured his ankle in Week 6. In that Week 6 game, which was against the Cardinals, Williams ran for a season-high 158 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. Royce Freeman will serve as his backup on Sunday. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero says to look for a 2-1 ratio of touches in LA's backfield between Williams and Freeman against Arizona, with game flow dictating a lot of it. Consider Williams more of a low-end RB2/high-end RB3 in a good matchup in his first game back from IR.
