Kliff Kingsbury Joining The Commanders

Former Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury has agreed to terms to become the offensive coordinator of the Washington Commanders, according to a source. Kingsbury went 28-37-1 with the Cardinals from 2019-22 and was expected to join the Las Vegas Raiders as their offensive coordinator last week, but he backed out of the position after contract negotiations fell apart. He spent last year with USC as an offensive analyst and quarterbacks coach, working with quarterback Caleb Williams, who is expected to be the first overall pick in this year's draft. Kingsbury is a respected offensive mind who has also spent time mentoring QBs Patrick Mahomes, Kyler Murray and Baker Mayfield. The Commanders hold the second overall pick in the draft and used former fifth-rounder Sam Howell as their starter in 2023.
