Kirk Cousins Undergoes Successful Achilles Surgery
one year ago

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins (Achilles) underwent surgery to repair his torn Achilles on Wednesday morning at Twin Cities Orthopedics in Eagan, Minnesota, according to the organization. The 35-year-old suffered the devastating injury in the Week 8 win over the Green Bay Packers, effectively ending his 2023 season. Cousins was playing some of the best football of his career. He was on a 17-game pace of 4,953 passing yards, 38 passing touchdowns, and ten interceptions. He will be a free agent this offseason. Rookie Jaren Hall is expected to start for the Vikings in Week 9, but the newly acquired Joshua Dobbs could take over the starting role as soon as Week 10 if Hall struggles in his first NFL start.
