Khalil Herbert A Risky Option For Week 15
11 months ago

Chicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert played only 17% of the snaps in Week 14, marking a season-low. While Herbert had earlier showcased his potential with over 70 rushing yards in games with 10 or more carries, his role has dwindled as the running back room regains health. D'Onta Foreman, the lead back during Herbert's five-game absence, has returned and done well, alongside the emergence of Roschon Johnson. With Foreman reassuming his lead role and Johnson becoming a factor, Herbert lacks a clear path to a productive role. Although Herbert may split goal-line touches with Foreman, the Bears' utilization of their quarterback in the red zone limits these opportunities. Johnson is likely to handle more passing snaps than Herbert, and Foreman remains the team's preferred rusher. Facing the Browns in Week 15, who allow the 19th-most points per game to running backs, Herbert is advised to be benched in favor of players with more consistent roles.
