Kenny Pickett To Remain The Starting Quarterback
12 months ago

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said that quarterback Kenny Pickett will remain the starting QB, even after the team fired offensive coordinator Matt Canada on Tuesday. The 20th overall pick in the 2022 draft out of Pittsburgh hasn't looked great in his second NFL season, completing just 60.5 percent of his 281 pass attempts for 1,722 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions in 10 starts so far this year. The 25-year-old has thrown multiple touchdowns in a game only once in 2023 and hasn't gone over 160 yards passing in any of his last four contests. Hopefully, the change at coordinator will have a positive effect down the stretch, but fantasy managers shouldn't bank on it. Pickett has a shot to bounce back in Week 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he'll merely be a low-end QB2 in fantasy for that matchup.
