Kenny Pickett Dealing With Bone Bruise
one year ago

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett (knee) suffered a bone bruise in his knee in the Week 4 loss to the Houston Texans that could lead to only a short-term absence. The door is open for Pickett, who is also dealing with a muscle strain, to play in Week 5 against the division-rival Baltimore Ravens, but the Steelers may play it safe with their bye coming in Week 6. We'll have a better idea of whether Pickett has a shot at playing this weekend once the team resumes practicing this Wednesday. For now, though, it seems very questionable that Pickett will be out there until Week 7. If the 25-year-old is held out this Sunday against Baltimore, backup Mitch Trubisky would make his first start of the year under center in a tough matchup.
