Kenneth Walker III Has Legitimate Oblique Injury
12 months ago

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that running back Kenneth Walker III (oblique) has an "oblique strain that was legit." The Seahawks don't know how much time he'll miss, making him questionable to play in Week 12 on a short week next Thursday evening against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers. Walker grabbed at his left oblique during a rushing attempt in the first half of Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Los Angeles Rams and didn't return in the second half. The 23-year-old ended up finishing with four carries for 18 yards while catching one pass for a loss of two yards. It was obviously an extremely disappointing outing for his fantasy managers, and now seems likely to miss at least one game for Seattle. It means that rookie Zach Charbonnet will be a popular waiver-wire pickup early next week. Charbonnet operated as the lead back after Walker was hurt and had 15 carries for 47 yards while catching six passes for an extra 22 yards.
