Kendrick Green Ready To Compete For Starting Job
4 months ago

Houston Texans offensive guard Kendrick Green (knee) started three of the first four games last year after being acquired in a trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers before tearing the meniscus in his right knee. The former third-rounder from Illinois has made a complete recovery heading into training camp this summer after having surgery last fall. Now that he's healthy, Green is slated to compete for a starting job at left guard this summer with former first-rounder Kenyon Green, who has fully recovered from a torn labrum in his shoulder. "I feel great, I'm ready to get after it," Kendrick Green said. The 6-foot-4, 315-pounder didn't allow any sacks in 208 snaps last season and has started 18 of 19 career games in three NFL seasons.
