Keaontay Ingram Has Deep-League Flex Appeal
one year ago

Arizona Cardinals running back Keaontay Ingram could be worth considering as a deep-league flex option in Week 9. In Week 8, Ingram was hardly on the field and received no touches, while teammate Emari Demercado (toe) played the bell-cow role. With Demercado out for the Week 9 game, one would assume Ingram would get the starting nod. That is a realistic possibility. The matchup, however, is a brutal one. The Cleveland Browns sport one of the best defenses in the NFL, most notably against the run. Even if Ingram is the lead back in this one, it will likely be tough sledding for the second-year running back. Additionally, it appears that the Cardinals will go with rookie quarterback Clayton Tune under center, further complicating matters. With that in mind, Ingram won't have much upside on the road in a tough draw.
