Kadarius Toney Remains Far From Relevance
one year ago

It's been about a calendar year since the Kansas City Chiefs acquired wide receiver Kadarius Toney in a trade with the New York Giants, and the deal itself was probably the most memorable aspect of the former first-round pick's Chiefs career to this point. Toney's 109 receiving yards, 4.0 yards per target, and 5.7 yards per catch through eight 2023 games are figures that are difficult to grasp, considering the 24-year-old's high degree of explosiveness. Toney's 25.4% snap share on the campaign renders him unplayable as a WR5/6 even in the deepest of fantasy leagues in Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins, who are allowing the 10th-most fantasy points per game (37.83) to opposing WRs. 27 targets on 86 routes give Toney a robust 31.4% target rate this year, so he remains worth stashing as the final member of an extremely deep season-long roster in case K.C.'s receiving corps gets dinged up.
