Kadarius Toney Continues To Disappoint
one year ago

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney continues to command targets, as evidenced by a 32.9% target rate. The problem is that the routes haven't been there, with merely 79 of them. His Week 1 multi-drop fiasco the probable culprit, Toney has been unofficially dog-housed into a strict gadget role as emerging rookie Rashee Rice begins to overtake him for playing time. Toney, once lauded for his explosiveness out of Florida, has received zero deep targets. The former first-rounder looks more and more like failed experiment with each passing week, scraping up 4.0 yards per target and 5.8 yards per reception. With no floor or ceiling combination to speak of, Toney belongs nowhere near most starting fantasy lineups as a WR5, and his stash appeal appears to have worn off long ago.
