Ka'imi Fairbairn Missing Practice To Begin The Week

Houston Texans kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn (quadriceps) did not practice on Wednesday. He was injured during a kickoff in the Texans' win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, forcing reserve running back Dare Ogunbowale to fill in. Fairbairn is set to miss at least a week with the injury but that absence could be extended. The reliable kicker has hit 18-of-19 field goals this season. To fill his place, Houston signed free agent Matt Ammendola to their practice squad and will activate him in the likely scenario that Fairbairn misses Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
