Justin Jefferson Coming Back "Sooner Rather Than Later"
one year ago

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury in the Week 5 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He was placed on Injured Reserve, meaning he was required to miss at least four games. The Vikings' Week 9 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons is the last game Jefferson will be forced to sit out. There's been speculation that he could miss as many as six games, but NFL Network's NFL Rapoport said he will come back "sooner rather than later." Obviously, this offers no definite timeline, but the Vikings adding Joshua Dobbs shows that they aren't giving up on the 2023 season in the absence of Kirk Cousins (Achilles). There will be plenty of optimism that Jefferson can return in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints. Despite the quarterback concerns, the All-Pro wideout should be in all fantasy lineups when he returns. His upside outweighs his risk.
