Justin Fields Thinks He Played Too Conservatively
one year ago

Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields said, "I feel like I was a little too conservative at times" in the Week 1 loss to the division-rival Green Bay Packers last Sunday. Fields went 24-for-37 for 216 yards, one touchdown and one interception while rushing the ball nine times for 59 yards in a blowout loss. The Bears didn't challenge the Packers defense down the field either. It wasn't the start that Fields' fantasy managers wanted to see, but there is plenty of time for him to turn things around, starting with a Week 2 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Those that were expecting the 24-year-old signal-caller to become a high-end QB1 immediately in 2023 might need to be a bit more patient. Still, he should be considered a top-10 QB 1 play this weekend.
