Joshua Palmer Goes On Injured Reserve, Jalen Guyton Activated
one year ago

The Los Angeles Chargers placed wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee) on Injured Reserve on Sunday and activated receiver Jalen Guyton (knee) from from the Physically Unable to Perform list in a corresponding move. Palmer was injured in last Sunday night's win over the Chicago Bears and will now be forced to miss the next four games. Keenan Allen will remain a target hog in LA's offense with Palmer out, but rookie first-rounder Quentin Johnston will now have a sizable role boost moving forward, beginning on Monday night against the New York Jets. The 24-year-old Palmer won't be eligible to return from IR until Week 13 against the New England Patriots on Dec. 3. The 22-year-old Johnston becomes an urgent waiver-wire pickup if you are in need of some receiver help in fantasy leagues. Johnston had season-highs in catches (five), targets (six) and receiving yards (50) in Week 8.
