Joshua Palmer Dealing With "Knee Sprain"
one year ago

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer (knee), who was placed on Injured Reserve on Sunday, is dealing with a "knee sprain," according to head coach Brandon Staley. "He'll be out for the four weeks for sure and then we'll just see from there," Staley said. When asked if he is expecting Palmer to be back this season, Staley said, "no expectations." The 24-year-old will be eligible to return in Week 13, but it remains to be seen if he'll be ready to go by then. Until then, rookie first-rounder Quentin Johnston and Jalen Guyton will have expanded roles in the passing attack behind target hog Keenan Allen. Mike Williams (knee) is already out for the season with a torn ACL. Fantasy managers in 12-team leagues shouldn't feel compelled to hang onto Palmer if they don't have the room and have more pressing needs.
