Josh Allen Adds Three More Scores To MVP Bid
one year ago

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (shoulder) was dialed in during Week 8's 24-18 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, completing 31-of-40 passes for 324 yards and two touchdowns. The 27-year-old finally showed off his patented rushing prowess, scrambling for a 13-yard score in the second quarter. Allen's interception was hardly his fault after a tipped pass hung in the air and landed in the arms of a defensive lineman. He connected with Dalton Kincaid and Gabe Davis on his throwing TDs. Allen made a barely-noticeable stop in the medical tent Thursday, suggesting the signal-caller's throwing shoulder is still bothering him from Week 6. It was still the two-time Pro Bowler's fourth game out of his last five with at least three total touchdowns, and his 41 rushing yards were his most since Week 3. Allen has some extra time to rest his balky shoulder, and he remains a premier QB1 in Week 9 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
