Jordan Mason Not A Good Option In Week 6
one year ago

San Francisco 49ers running back Jordan Mason will make the trip to Cleveland with the team to take on the Browns on Sunday. Last week in the absence of regular backup Elijah Mitchell (knee), Mason had 10 carries for 69 yards and a touchdown versus Dallas. He failed to catch his only target. Mason surprisingly out-gained starter Christian McCaffrey on the ground and was efficient at 6.9 yards per carry, but 36 of those yards and the touchdown came in the fourth quarter when McCaffrey was on the sideline with the lead well in hand. In addition, Mitchell got in a limited practice today and is trending toward playing. Unless Mitchell is out and fantasy managers want to gamble that Mason gets more garbage time, he should not be considered for lineups.
