Jordan Addison A Risky Play In Week 1
one year ago

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison will look to make an impression in Week 1, as the 23rd-overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft makes his NFL debut against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Addison will join one of the league's better, and more importantly, pass-happy offenses, but there will be no shortage of competition for looks from quarterback Kirk Cousins. Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockenson will command a significant amount of targets, so Addison could get off to a slow start in his rookie season. Adam Thielen's departure vacates a ton of red-zone opportunities, but it may be better for fantasy managers to play it safe and take a wait-and-see approach, as it isn't uncommon for rookie wide receivers to get off to slow starts. Addison is nothing more than a low-end FLEX option in deeper formats this week.
