Joe Mixon Hoping To Score For A Third-Straight Week
one year ago

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon had only one touchdown entering the team's Week 7 bye. However, the former Oklahoma Sooner has turned things around since then by scoring in each of his previous two games. Without question, the 27-year-old hasn't been a consistent source of production for fantasy managers this season, especially since he hasn't had 100 yards or more on the ground in any of his appearances. But there's hope Mixon could exceed expectations in Week 10 versus the Houston Texans, considering the Bengals won't have Tee Higgins (hamstring). In addition, Ja'Marr Chase (back) is questionable. That said, if Joe Burrow is without his primary pass-catchers on Sunday, the signal-caller will need to look elsewhere. Surely, Tyler Boyd, Trenton Irwin, and Irv Smith Jr. should see more targets. Yet, Mixon could also get more involved in catching passes out of the backfield, so he should remain a flex option, even more so in PPR formats.
