Joe Mixon Dealing With Chest Injury
one year ago

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon (chest) has popped up on the injury report in Week 9 for the first time all year with a chest injury that caused him to be limited on Wednesday. The injury didn't really limit Mixon in the Week 8 win over the San Francisco 49ers, as he carried the pigskin 16 times for a season-high 87 yards and a touchdown. The 27-year-old also had three catches for 23 yards through the air. Mixon's injury doesn't appear serious enough to put his status for Week 9 on Sunday night against the Buffalo Bills in jeopardy, but we'll continue to keep a close eye on him the rest of the week. If he is limited at all in Week 9 or ruled out, the Bengals would move forward with Trayveon Williams as their primary RB.
