Joe Flacco Signs One-Year Deal With Browns
11 months ago

Quarterback Joe Flacco signed a one-year contract with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, days after head coach Kevin Stefanski dubbed the veteran the team's starter for the rest of 2023. The 38-year-old veteran, now in his 16th season, was originally brought in ahead of Week 13 as a stopgap solution to the Browns' woeful quarterback situation. In the two games Flacco started since, he has gone 49-of-89 for 565 passing yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions. Wide receivers Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore have seen 19 and 18 targets, respectively, since Flacco took over signal-calling duties. Flacco and the Browns face the Bears in Week 15, then finish the season against the Texans, Jets, and Bengals.
