Joe Flacco Signing With Browns

Former Baltimore Ravens quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco is signing with the Cleveland Browns' practice squad on Sunday. The expectation is that Flacco will be promoted to the active roster to give the team some extra QB depth alongside rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson and P.J. Walker in light of the season-ending shoulder surgery to Deshaun Watson. Thompson-Robinson led Cleveland to his first career victory as a starter in the 13-10 Week 11 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, so he should remain as the starter under center for the Browns heading into their Week 12 showdown with the Denver Broncos. Flacco, 38, will give Cleveland a veteran voice in the QB room. He last played in 2022 with the New York Jets, completing just 57.6% of his 191 pass attempts for 1,051 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions in five games (four starts).
