Joe Barry To Interview With Bears, Eagles

Former Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Joe Barry will interview for jobs on the defensive staffs for both the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles, according to sources. He'll have his first interview with the Eagles about their opening at linebackers coach. Barry was fired earlier this week despite the Packers advancing to the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Green Bay's defense finished the 2023 regular season 10th in points allowed and 17th in yards allowed. They gave up 30 points and 394 total yards to the lowly Carolina Panthers in Week 16. It was the only time the Panthers reached 30 points all season, and they didn't score a point over their last two games. It was Barry's third stint as the defensive coordinator after also coaching the defenses of the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders.
