Jimmy Garoppolo Undergoing More Tests Monday
one year ago

The Las Vegas Raiders continue to be cautious with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (back) after he was injured in the Week 6 win over his former team, the New England Patriots. Garoppolo is undergoing follow-up tests on Monday after he was taken to a local hospital on Sunday night, according to a source. The evaluation is ongoing and the Raiders believe it's too early to conclude anything about Jimmy G's status for Week 7 against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. We'll keep a close eye on the 31-year-old's status during practice this week. If he doesn't make enough progress to gain clearance to play, the Raiders would need to decide between rookie Aidan O'Connell and veteran Brian Hoyer as their Week 7 starter. Hoyer replaced Garoppolo on Sunday, but O'Connell received the start in Week 4 when Garoppolo was out with a concussion.
