The Las Vegas Raiders announced that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (back) will return to practice Thursday after missing Week 7 against the Chicago Bears. It was the second game the signal-caller has missed due to injury this season. After suffering a back injury in the Raiders' Week 6 victory over the New England Patriots, Garoppolo was removed from the game and taken to a nearby medical center. Fortunately, it was expected that the tenth-year veteran would miss minimal time and it looks like that is the case. Barring any setbacks, he will play in Week 8 against the Detroit Lions on Monday night.
