Jimmy Garoppolo Looks Terrible In Return From Back Injury

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo missed Week 7 due to a back injury but returned on Monday night to face the Detroit Lions. Garoppolo's offensive line didn't do him any favors, but he also didn't look good at all and missed a couple wide open receivers. He finished the 26-14 loss by going 10-for-21 for only 126 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. The 31-year-old was sacked six times for a loss of 49 yards and ran the ball twice for a gain of 12 yards. Garoppolo was facing a strong defense on the road, but he looked rusty and unsure of himself most of the night. The Raiders will have to go back to the drawing board with their passing attack this week in preparation for a Week 9 meeting with the New York Giants. Garoppolo and the Raiders should be able to move the ball better in that one, but Jimmy G is nothing more than a low-upside QB2 moving forward.
