Jimmy Garoppolo "Could Miss A Game" With Back Injury
one year ago

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (back) departed Sunday's game against the Patriots in an ambulance, but he may have avoided a major injury. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Garoppolo "could miss a game" with the back issue. His trip to the hospital was to check for internal injuries, which was more of a precautionary move. Veteran Brian Hoyer replaced Garoppolo and finished the Week 6 contest in the win over his former team, the New England Patriots. It remains to be seen if Hoyer or rookie Aidan O'Connell will start if Garoppolo misses time. The latter earned the start when Garoppolo missed Week 4 with a concussion.
