Jets Sticking With Zach Wilson As Starting Quarterback
one year ago

New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh told reporters on Monday that he is sticking with quarterback Zach Wilson as his starting QB heading into a Week 11 date with the Buffalo Bills. "He's actually playing pretty well," Saleh said. In addition to sticking with Wilson, the Jets aren't going to take play-calling duties away from offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett after once again not being able to score an offensive touchdown in the Sunday night loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. The 24-year-old is completing just 59.8% of his pass attempts with only five touchdowns and six interceptions in nine games (eight starts). He ranks 29th in yards per attempt (6.1), but Tim Boyle and Trevor Siemian are the team's alternatives under center. The Jets will stay the course and hope Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) can return in mid-December.
