Jets Sticking With Tim Boyle At Quarterback
12 months ago

New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh said the team is going to stick with Tim Boyle as their starting quarterback after a poor performance in the Week 12 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Friday. "Yeah, we're giving Timmy a chance to roll again next week," Saleh said. Boyle went 27-for-38 for 179 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in the 34-13 loss to Miami. One of the 29-year-old's interceptions came on a Hail Mary attempt just before halftime that was returned 99 yards for a touchdown. It wasn't really an upgrade over Zach Wilson, but the Jets aren't going to pull the plug just yet, so Boyle will make another start on Dec. 3 against the Atlanta Falcons, where he'll be a desperation QB2 in superflex leagues. The good news is receiver Garrett Wilson scored his first TD since Week 2 with Boyle under center on Friday.
