Jerome Ford's Injury Not A Concern
one year ago

Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt said that running back Jerome Ford's knee injury isn't a concern heading into the Week 6 contest on Sunday against the undefeated San Francisco 49ers. Ford was limited in practice on Wednesday but upgraded to a full-go on Thursday, which backs up Van Pelt's sentiment. What is concerning for Ford's fantasy managers is the fact that he'll be going up against the best defense in the NFL and won't have quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder) running the offense for the second straight game. The 24-year-old had only nine carries for 26 yards in the Week 4 loss to the Ravens, but he did somewhat salvage his final line with five catches for 19 yards. Ford will continue to lead Cleveland's backfield this weekend, but his floor and ceiling just got a lot lower with Watson being ruled out.
