Jerick McKinnon Well Off Most Week 5 Fantasy Radars
one year ago

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon's 2022 late-season magic has worn off across four 2023 games, anchoring as fantasy's overall RB34 in full-PPR scoring. While the Minnesota Vikings defense has caged RBs for the second-least receiving yards (60), they are the only team to have permitted a 100% catch rate (14-of-14) to the position this year. Week 5 offers "revenge game" juice for McKinnon, as the former freak athlete will do battle with the team he spent the first four years of his career with. Though, the narrative doesn't hoist the 31-year-old veteran out of a constant touchdown-or-bust RB4/FLEX sphere with a puny 13 touches (15 opportunities) in four contests to kick off the campaign. McKinnon, yet to top one-third of KC's offensive snaps in any one game, does not currently look viable outside of deep PPR settings.
