Jerick McKinnon Highlights Day With Two Scores
one year ago

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon gathered three receptions for 19 yards and two touchdowns with two carries for an additional nine yards in Week 3's 41-10 triumph over the Chicago Bears. The 31-year-old hit paydirt on a Patrick Mahomes touch pass, squirming through the trenches for his first touchdown of the year during the first quarter. McKinnon then snuck into the end zone once more on a short score later in the second quarter to get the rout underway. His role remains specific to pass-catching, as McKinnon handled only two of 32 rush attempts by Chiefs RBs on the afternoon. But the elusive tailback is functioning as one of K.C.'s more dependable receivers, considering the state of their unproven wide-receiver room. With a mere 10 touches to his name this year, however, McKinnon will not be a recommended RB3 outside of the deepest PPR leagues for Week 4's road meeting with the New York Jets.
