Jerick McKinnon Designated To Return From Injured Reserve
10 months ago

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon (hernia, pelvis) was designated to return from Injured Reserve on Saturday and his practice window is now open. It means that McKinnon can resume practicing with the team next week, although it doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be activated by the end of next week in order to play in Super Bowl LVIII next Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. The 31-year-old was put on IR on Dec. 24 before he had sports-hernia surgery and another procedure to fix a fractured pelvis. He has made good progress from those two surgeries apparently, but fantasy managers playing DFS shouldn't expect a hefty role in KC's backfield for McKinnon if he's officially active. McKinnon hasn't played in a game since Week 15.
