Jaylen Warren Sees Eight Touches In Blowout Loss
one year ago

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren had three carries for just six yards and caught five of his six targets for an extra 12 yards in the 30-7 blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 on Sunday. Before the game, reports surfaced that Warren could see increased work alongside starter Najee Harris, and the two RBs ended up touching the ball eight times apiece against San Fran. Neither did much with their work against a strong Niners defensive unit, and Pittsburgh was forced to basically abandon the run after falling down big early in the first half. Warren and the Steelers offense will look to do better in Week 2 against the visiting Cleveland Browns. If Warren continues to share more backfield work with Harris all year, he could be a weekly RB3/flex option for fantasy managers.
