Jaxon Smith-Njigba May See Increased Role In Week 7
one year ago

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba had the best game of his career in Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals, catching four passes for 48 yards. The rookie was also open for what would have been a 30-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, but Geno Smith couldn't make the read as his protection collapsed and he was forced to scramble for an 11-yard gain instead. Smith-Njigba saw his highest snap share and number of routes run against the Bengals, and he may be due for more in Week 7 if DK Metcalf (hip, ribs) is held out of Sunday's divisional matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Smith-Njigba is a reasonable flex play in a week with six teams on a bye and has greater potential pending Metcalf's status.
