Jaxon Smith-Njigba Has Tough Matchup In Week 8
one year ago

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba had his highly anticipated breakout in Week 7, catching four balls for 63 yards and his first career touchdown. The increased production was the result of DK Metcalf (ribs, hip) sitting out due to injury. With Tyler Lockett (hamstring) battling a hamstring injury that has held him out of preparations for Week 8 so far, Smith-Njigba may get a bump up the depth chart for the second week in a row. Too bad that the opportunity is coming against the Cleveland Browns, who are holding opposing wide receivers to fewer fantasy points than any other team in the league. Even if Lockett does not play it is hard to ignore the challenge facing Smith-Njigba. He may be worth a flex in deeper leagues on Sunday, but most managers will be better off seeking an option with a more promising matchup for Week 8.
