Jaxon Smith-Njigba Gets First Career Touchdown
one year ago

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught four of his seven targets on Sunday for 63 yards and a touchdown. The targets and yardage led the team as fellow receiver DK Metcalf (hip, ribs) missed his first career game due to injury. With just under five minutes left in the first quarter, Geno Smith found the rookie wideout wide open on the goal line and connected for the score from 28 yards out. It was Smith-Njigba's first touchdown to the delight of fantasy managers who have held onto him through a mediocre start to his career. Enthusiasm for Week 8 should be held in check, though, as Metcalf may return to play and the Seahawks will be facing the stout pass defense of the Cleveland Browns.
