Javonte Williams Will Play In Week 6
one year ago

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams (quadriceps) practiced in full on Tuesday and Wednesday and has been removed from the Week 6 injury report. After missing the Week 5 loss to the New York Jets last Sunday, Williams will be back to face the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football. The 23-year-old has been a disappointment through his first four games in 2023 and is still looking for his first touchdown after returning from a season-ending knee injury he suffered in Week 4 of last year, but Williams should step in as Denver's lead back on Thursday. Williams is averaging 3.6 yards per carry on 38 rushing attempts for 138 yards. Consider him a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex in fantasy going into Thursday's game. Undrafted rookie Jaleel McLaughlin and Samaje Perine should remain involved in a game in which Denver will likely have to throw often to keep pace with KC.
