Javonte Williams - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football
one year ago

It was a nice showing for Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams in the Week 1 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders after most expected him to have a modest role as the Broncos looked to ease him back from a torn ACL and LCL in Week 4 of last season. The 23-year-old had 13 carries for 52 yards and caught four of six targets for an additional five yards. Both Williams and Samaje Perine saw 45% of the offensive snaps in the season opener, although Perine was more efficient on the ground with eight carries for 41 yards. The 23-year-old's role should only continue to grow as the season wears on, but fantasy managers should expect more of an even split in a tough Week 2 matchup against the Washington Commanders. There might not be much room to run in this one, making Williams more of an RB3/flex lineup play in fantasy for the second straight week.
