Javonte Williams Listed With Quadriceps Injury
one year ago

On the Denver Broncos injury report on Wednesday, running back Javonte Williams (quadriceps) was listed as not practicing due to a quadriceps injury. It was previously reported that Williams left the Week 4 win over the Chicago Bears with a hip-flexor injury. It appears the injury was misdiagnosed originally, but either way, Williams' status for the Week 5 contest against the New York Jets is firmly in question this Sunday. The 23-year-old will need to get back on the practice field either on Thursday or Friday to have a shot at playing. If he's out or limited, undrafted rookie Jaleel McLaughlin could serve as Denver's lead back, although Samaje Perine would also likely have a bigger role as well in a bad matchup.
