Javonte Williams Gains 58 Yards On 14 Touches
one year ago

Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams didn't do anything overly impressive in the 35-33 loss to the visiting Washington Commander in Week 2 on Sunday in Denver, but he did have 10 more carries than backup Samaje Perine and rookie Jaleel McLaughlin combined. Williams finished with 12 carries for 44 yards (3.7 yards per carry) and caught two of his three targets for an additional 14 yards through the air. Fantasy managers didn't really have much to show for the 23-year-old, but he's also being eased into the offense coming off last year's ACL and LCL tears and was facing a tough defensive line. Williams remains more of an RB3/flex for now, but he should have more fantasy upside as the season progresses and he starts to see even more work as Denver's bell-cow back.
