Jauan Jennings Sees Career-High Nine Targets

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings was targeted a career- and team-high nine times in Monday night's 22-17 loss to the Vikings in Minnesota. Jennings, 26, has spent his three-year NFL career no higher than WR3 on the 49ers' depth chart and has broken 10 fantasy points just twice. He hauled in five passes for 54 yards this week filling in for Deebo Samuel (shoulder). Samuel is expected to remain out for at least another game so Jennings will draw another start in Week 8 against Cincinnati in Santa Clara. Based on tonight's involvement, Jennings will pique a bit of waiver interest in deep leagues but shouldn't be prioritized unless throwing a dart on a one-week flex play, given his substantial history as a bit player, lack of pedigree, and the probable return of Samuel in Week 10 after the bye.
