The Houston Texans released veteran cornerback Jason Verrett on Wednesday. The 2014 first-round pick signed with the team's practice squad on October 11, but he is already being let go. Verrett spent four seasons with the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers to begin his career before three seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. Unfortunately, the 32-year-old has suffered multiple ACL and Achilles tears in recent years, derailing his promising career. He has not played in an NFL game since 2021.
