Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider said on Tuesday at the NFL Combine that long-time offensive tackle Jason Peters is retiring this offseason to serve as an assistant to vice president of player affairs Mo Kelly. Peters didn't play in a single game in Seattle in 2024 before finishing the year on Injured Reserve with an undisclosed injury in December. The 43-year-old was an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas but began his 19-year NFL career with the Buffalo Bills in 2004. He ended up being named to nine Pro Bowls while also being named a first-team All-Pro twice. Peters spent the first five years of his career with the Bills before joining the Philadelphia Eagles for 11 years.
