Jared Goff Manages Lions To Division Crown
11 months ago

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff led the team to a division title in Week 16's 30-24 win over the Minnesota Vikings, completing 30-of-40 pass attempts for 257 yards and one touchdown. The fantasy line is not much reason for fanfare, but Lions fans will be celebrating after Goff engineered a clean game on the road to clinch the NFC North championship. Detroit put 30 points up on the scoreboard and consistently sustained drives but three of their scores came on rushing plays. The 29-year-old three-time Pro Bowler also didn't have to push the envelope on a day Minnesota repeatedly shot themselves in the foot, with Vikings signal-caller Nick Mullens turning it over four times. Fantasy managers will hope for more of a back-and-forth battle against the Dallas Cowboys to get a more fruitful stat line next Saturday, where Goff will be in the QB1 range for what could be a high-scoring affair.
