James Cook Tries To Curb Slide In Week 7
one year ago

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook's all-around volume remains a frustrating tale heading into Week 7's date with the New England Patriots. Cook's once promising high-value usage has considerably dried up, with one red-zone carry in his last two contests to eight in the prior three games. The 24-year-old will likely need to continue making his mark in the passing game to make a real difference, with the ninth-most receiving yards (140) and fifth-most yards per catch (10.0) amongst RBs. Luckily for Cook, New England has been knocked around for the seventh-most catches (32) to opposing RBs this year. Even with Damien Harris (neck) out Sunday, Cook probably won't be able to break past the RB2 line as long as the incumbent Latavius Murray is around. He'll nonetheless rank as a worthy top-16 play in all formats with six teams on a Week 7 bye.
