James Cook Exceeds 100 Yards, Finds End Zone Sunday
one year ago

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook attained his first 100-yard day since Week 3 in Sunday's 29-25 loss to the New England Patriots, taking 13 carries for 56 yards and coming down with all three of his targets for 46 yards. Cook convincingly out-touched Latavius Murray 10-2 in the first half, accumulating 62 yards over this span. The 24-year-old looked shifty on a catch-and-run for a short touchdown out of the second half's gates, which marked just his second score of the year. Cook is now averaging 10.9 yards per catch over 17 receptions this year, as well. The 2022 second-rounder ultimately outproduced Murray 102-28 in total yards, but the incumbent veteran is likely to remain involved as a trusted contributor. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on tap in Week 8 for Cook, and they have been more susceptible to the air attack than the ground game.
